Thank Ben.
ReplyDeleteI have nominated Max De Preez.
Thanks Cde. Mr du Preez, should he acccept our nomination, and he is still the fearless, independant journalist that we remember, will be the best thing that ever could happen to the SABC. We may even see the inside of General Goboza's BMW's, with a journalist free to ask: Does my boss really need this luxury?
ReplyDeleteMax du Preez, Jane Duncan (retired head of FXI), Tim Modise, John Perlman, Mtata Tsedu, Barney - all those fearless journo's that was victimised by Phil and Snuki.
ReplyDeleteViva Freedom of Expression Viva!
What about Jimmy Matthews, Solly Mokoetle, etc?
ReplyDeleteThere was pending disciplinaries against both of them when they left. Please ask the Shop Stewards to get clarity on them first.
ReplyDeleteComrades, we need to look wider - not just people we know, but we need to invest time into finding representatives of the rural areas!
Jane Duncan has moved to a small rural town. How will she be able to attend?
ReplyDeleteThe Board Policy is that people from ALL regions must be represented
ReplyDeleteColleagues, please make suke we do not nominate people that will refuse nomination. Has anyone established whether Max and Jane is actually willing to accept the nomination?
ReplyDeleteI have nominated Max Du Preeze and he accepted. He doubts though if he will be appointed as he did avail himself for the interim board but was not appointed. He is tooooo outspoken he thinks but thanked me for my nomination. YES he is available.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Comrades. I was contacted by parliament today for contact details for Max Du Preez.
ReplyDeleteHe confirmed that he is on the short list and will be interviewed next week for the new SABC Board.
Keep your fingers crossed people.
