It is a proven fact that the SABC runs like a well-oiled machine at night and on weekends - without top management! The time has come that they now try to run the machine on their own.
The ultimatum period has passed - without positive answers.
We have seen no indication that top management is trying to cut its own costs, and the SABC continues to lose around R100 million each month.
There is therefore no choice but to prove that it is the Broadcast Workers and Caring Managers that keep the SABC going.
Not top management, their friends, expensive girlfriends, and their friend's expensive girlfriends. We insist that the SABC implements the only solution left to it. Cut expenditure, and stop the waste by suspending and investigating the wasteful managers.
Only then will we return to work and get our beloved SABC running again - better than ever!

The time has come for a full blown STRIKE finish and klaar
ReplyDeleteMany thanks to organised labour for exposing the mismanagements in SABC. I'm seeing in the mail & guardian how the T20 cost us R125 million and incurred R10 million in lost ad spend. Our only way out of this mess is to expose all these thieves and incompetents who call themselves managers. They've left us with a shambles.
ReplyDeleteOrganised labour has now lost its champion campaigner to EXCO victimisation. What is Organised Labour going to do about that?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean? What happened?
ReplyDeleteRichard Waghorn has suspended cde Rian for writing "a derogatory email", making a report to the parliament (about the corruption) and using the corporate communication letterhead to send out union stop orders.
ReplyDeleteWHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT THE SUSPENSION OF COMRADE RIAN?
ReplyDeleteRian has asked that we concentrate on monitoring that the so-called "forensic audit" the SABC has organised, proceeds correctly.
ReplyDeleteThis in light thereof that several complaints of cover-ups by the Internal Audit department has been received.
Rian has also pleaded that we not worry about him but continue our fight against corruption at the SABC as well as our 12.2%.
ReplyDeleteHe is in constant contact with us and is doing well.
To Rian we say.........WE WILL NOT DISSAPOINT YOU COMRADE.
Note that our comrades at Sentech is also involved in a quagmire in respect with their dispute resolution process. They have very similar problems to ours, and HQ has informed that we must be a bit patient, until our Sentech comrades can join us.
