If indeed it is so that Mr Mokoetle does not have the time to hear Comrade Rian Geldenhuys' appeal, we request that he at the very least promises protection for Mr Simon Swart, who is today, Wednesday 3 February 2010, burdened with making one of the most difficult decisions ever.
1. Do the right thing, and stand up against communist wife
2. Do the wrong thing, and support communist wife in her unlawful quest to silence all critics, Orwelian style.
Mr Swart - please take the right decision or, once again, the only winners will be the lawyers. They already have enough money. The SABC needs that money more than they do. Please save the SABC a fortune, and stand up against the fat cats pretending to be for the people.

Are you willing to defend the organisational rights of the union?
Can Cde Rian expect a fair hearing from these SABC managers?
By refusing to see our value, the SABC negotiators are:
Who currently keeps the SABC on air?
SEF has convinced Jane Duncan (freedom of expression champion) to accept our nomination, only if it comes from us
The counter proposal is:
Should CWU/MWASA refer the "agreement" signed by "SMS ballot" to CCMA for adjudication?
The letter to SABC Board is hereby:
Who can save the SABC?
What is the main reason you will strike?
What should the Minister do to stop the strike?
Who should we negotiate with?
Important Vote - Build the SABC
When you vote on this blog, your views are seen by the Minister, New Board, Exco, SMF, SOS campaign, TVIEC, ICASA, and the owners - the People of South Africa.

Comrade Rian's case is not unique but the SABC have not learnt from their Orwelian Style of management. We have all seen the charges and anyone with common sense will tell you, these charges do not warrant "firing" of anyone. We will go to labour court and win this case like we've done all other cases. The SABC of course will spend money on lawyers all for nothing.
ReplyDeleteIDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!SIMON YOU KNOW WHAT'S RIGHT.
Solly announced today that this uncalled for disciplinary hearing of employees must stop so we are confident that com Rian will be back at work soon
ReplyDeleteIf you cross swords with Nzimande, you dead. She and not Comrade Solly is managing the SABC. She also controls the CWU Headoffice. Why after her visit Com Rian was fired? This is a setup. I warned you comrades, we should break alliances, and you know what I am referring to. We are not an independant trade union if we are controlled by the ANC and the Communists. Our union leadership is in bed with ANC and Communist wife. Why this silence about Com Rian being fired? Should we not mobilise our members? I'm getting a sense of serious lack of leadership or fear?
ReplyDeleteWho are the pigs? Sounds like you guys better start working! No more free rides at the SABC. What!
ReplyDeleteI wouldnt say that. Its true some people arent doing their jobs, but thats no reason to go on a firing orgy
ReplyDeleteSwart has been relieved of this burden. Van Rensburg gleefully accepts the chance to seal the fate of the unions he hates so. Goodbye freedom.
ReplyDeleteSomeone is misleading people here, Solly runs the SABC not communist wife. izolo there was a meeting with Solly where he made it clear that he wants to work hand in glove with unions and he is looking at all the labour issue. Com Rian will be back at work soon so lets us respect procedures.
ReplyDeleteaaah thank heavens, a voice of reason. thank you whoever you are.
ReplyDeleteIf we are unhappy with Cosatu we as union members can make the decision of breaking ties with Cosatu. We are paying a fee to be affiliated to Cosatu anyway.
Wake up and smell the roses, comrades. You not sitting with these people in meetings. What do you know? We have leaders in CWu who is protecting her, for what I dont know. Maybe she has not promised them, or what. That powerdrunk bitch has poisened our union. Plezse com leaders, we will die like Haitians under the rubble of selfishness and greed from inside. She must go. Leadership must refuse to meet with her. Thats the mandate from us, the workers. Voice your support, comrades. VIVA!!!
ReplyDeleteThis blog is getting all fired up and I smell anger and mistrust. Can CWU leaders please call a general meeting for all members so concerns can be voiced. One person cannot give a mandate. A mandate should come collectively. Also, accusations are made against CWU leaders and yet none of them are defending themselves, are we to draw the conclusion that these leaders are really in bed with Nzimande?
ReplyDeleteThat conclusion could have been made by a child - of course they are in bed with her. You need to sharpen your information gathering skills, so you can be prepared to give an informed mandate at a General Meeting. This sideline comments just means you don't actually attend those meetings. Inform yourself - and stop the scum.
ReplyDeleteCWU LEADERS PLEASE CALL FOR A GENERAL MEETING ASAP. AFTER ALL, YOU NEED OUR MANDATE FOR UPCOMING NEGOTIATIONS.
ReplyDeleteCOMRADES, ITS TIME TO FORM OUR OWN UNION. AFTER ALL OUR UNION IS IN BED WITH MAMMA STAKEHOLDER. NOT ALL OF US ARE STAKEHOLDERS IN THE ANC. WE ARE DISAPPOINTED!!!! WHY ARE WE ALLOWING THESE SNAKES TO FIRE COM RIAAN AND WE SIT BACK WITHOUT DOING SOMETHING. OUR LEADERS MUST ACT NOW! LETS MARCH AGAINST NZIMANDE. SHE HAS SHOWN HER TRUE COLOURS. NO DEMOCRASY WITH COMMUNISTS.
